What is Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a method for Permanent Hair Removal. That is the removal of individual hairs from the face or body. Electrolysis is the only medically proven method for permanent hair removal. Hair is destroyed at the root with heat energy, after a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, a quick electrical impulse is applied to destroy the hair root. The hair is then removed with tweezers.

Where to Use Electrolysis?

Electrolysis can be used to remove hair from any part of the body except inside nose and ears. Some common treatment areas for both women and men include:

  • Chin (Beard)
  • Upper Lip (Mustache)
  • Brows
  • Ears
  • Hairline
  • Chest (Breast)
  • Bikini Line
  • Butt
  • Hands/Fingers
  • Feet/Toes
  • Ingrown Hairs
  • Arms/Legs
  • Transgender Pre-Op

Electrolysis is effective on all hair types

The causes of superfluous hair growth are dependent on age, weight, metabolism, hormones, ethnicity, medications, pregnancy, and other factors. Unwanted hair on women can cause much embarrassment, discomfort, emotional stress and cause a feeling of self-consciousness which lowers their self esteem. Puberty, pregnancy, menopause, etc… play an important part in determining hair growth.

Chemical depilatories contain irritating chemicals and can be time-consuming and messy. Likewise, bleaches contain harsh chemicals and do little to disguise dark hair, they may also discolor skin. Shaving, Waxing and tweezing are temporary methods of hair removal and can be painful and can make matters worse by making the hair darker and coarser, also create ingrown and cause skin irritations which leads to scarring. The FDA and the American Medical Association recognize only Electrolysis as a Permanent method of removing hair in any area of the body and on every skin type.

HORMONAL CHANGE: Unwanted hair caused by hormonal changes are brought on by age, pregnancy, heredity, reactions to medication, hormonal imbalances, stress and excessive use of temporary hair removal methods. Excessive hair growth, known as Hirsutism, can range from fine, vellus hairs to dark coarse hairs on the face and body. Permanent Hair Removal – Electrolysis, is the long term rescue to free one-self from this hovering perpetual situation. Each destroyed hair follicle (more then 1500 per sq inch) by electrolysis does have the benefit to give back to the skin its glow by clearing- therefore smoothing the under skin layer (bumps) caused by ongoing hair growth. There is no better solution than Electrolysis. It is a treatment as individual as you are. The latest technology and practice protocols have made Electrolysis more comfortable and effective than ever before.

Electrolysis is effective on all hair types. As such it is quite efficient on dark skin and dark hair, it removes permanently curly, wavy or coarse hair on any area so you can enjoy smooth hair free skin. Raised bumps (hypertrophy), dark spots (hyper pigmentation) and ingrown hairs are some common traits of dark skin. Ingrown hairs are a common concern for women and men alike. Dark skin people with curly hair are more susceptible to this problem. Tweezing, waxing and sugaring can make matters worse. Electrolysis is the only way to get rid of the problem and eliminate their reoccurrence and their side effects like dark spots, irritations and scars permanently.
